I am 43 years old and a mother to three children. I've been happily married for 18 Years. I am a primary school teacher and love my job. Ran/walked 5k in The Race of Life on 4th May 2008! DONE! 6. Ran 5k 23/05/08 completed. Time: 26.30 7. Ran 10k on my birthday 06/06/08 completed. Time: 55.30 8. Ran 5k 8/07/08. Time: 25.45 (This is a personal Best so far!) 9. Ran 5k 28/09/08. Time 25.35 (I beat my PB by 10 seconds! lol!) 10. Half marathon on 30th November 2008 (2:16:27) 11.     Hi Helen, After many years of GI issues, and having my Gallbladder out I gained weight, had terrible inflammation and the Drs. would say, eat less, eat whole grain and it just got worse. So I did my own research. After reading a book (among many) called, "Wheat Belly" by a William Davis it dawned on me that I found my problem. When I gave up wheat it was like night and day with my GI. I didn't have pain like a lot of people have, I had to constantly go to the bathroom and caused major anxiety and staying home a lot. I hated that! I still have challenging days, but it is incredibly different. I have more energy and will never go back to wheat, corn or green peppers to name the main culprits. I eat several small meals a day and keep my cals quite low right now, but will go up as I exercise more. Trying to do one thing at a time. It works! Wheat is just a toxin for me!     Forgot to mention...I finally figured out that my body doesn't tolerate wheat at all! There are a few other foods I have to be careful with or not eat as well. Since taking wheat out of my diet I have started to lose weight again. I feel better, the GI issues are minimal (which is a huge change!) and I think so much more clearly and the inflammation is almost if not all gone. YAY! It's amazing how food can be to toxic to the body. Hope you are doing very well!! Hugs, Cathy
