Hi there!
Having always been a max of 9 stone or under (8s4 when I got married 4 years ago!) - the pounds have slowly crept up on me and having weighed myself over Christmas, I was horrified to see I was 2 stone overweight and heading into the dangerous territory of oblivion!
Last September I did successfully get down to 9st10 on a low carb diet, but I was always ill and tired and so when I stopped, I piled even more weight than I was originally.
So, now I want to kick it in touch and get back down to a healthier weight which will hopefully give me more energy and stop me from being constantly ill all the time.
I am very lazy. I do hate having to do exercise and I do dislike having to think about food to a point where I am counting calories, but, I hope that will some help in the right direction from this site, I will do it.

Fitness Minutes: 40

My Goals:
Lose 2 stone and get toned!!! (without starvation and binge eating at the weekends)

My Program:
1200 cal diet for 2/3 weeks then will reassess

Looking into exercise.... hummmm.....

Personal Information:
Live in Shropshire, 34 years old (really wanted to be younger - fingers were typing in 32 but I said NO! naughty fingers!) - work for myself from home so I often get cabin fever. Luckily I'm not a day t.v person....

Other Information:
Well, I wrote a lot of stuff out then forgot to save it all. Maybe that's a good thing as it would have just bored you to death.
So, in a nutshell:-
- I love Guinea Pigs (and have 6 of them)
- I love writing (having recently discovered it)
- I love Italy and foreign countries (just hate the actual travelling).
- I like learning languages (but hate the classroom) and last yr decided to do at least one new course a year. This year it's photography :o).
- I can be very lazy (exercise is part of that)
and, lastly, I am growing rapidly intollerant of the t.v.

    It made me laugh with the comment about walking to the nearest shop - as that literally is across the road from me and part of the problem! haha. I hadn't had chocolate in ages then after we came back from a walk to feed the ducks, hubby (who never buys sweet stuff) started wanting chocolate on the way home - so we got into a bad habit of buying a galaxy and yorkie and sharing them! bad bad. I also started drinking a bit more again as well after a 2 month free stint and I always pick when I have alcohol (and eat more rubbish with a hangover!!). But yes, the weather hasnt helped and the salads have started making their way into my shopping delivery now so that's a good start!

    I have, however, picked up some good habits from the previous diet - i.e. I now drink black coffee with no sugar at all and only drink fizzy water instead of soft drinks as a top up from herbal teas - so at least during the day my drinks are calorie and rubbish free!
    I am also buying the same things I had on my previous diet and starting to get into the habit of eating them again as a norm.

    I realised one thing tho that when I was counting cals, I would make sure I used them all up - even when I wasnt hungry. I think if I do it again, I need to obviously have a cap and realise what I am eating, but not to feel that I need to eat all that amount. It doesnt hurt to have 800 one day if I am really not hungry because no doubt another day, I will want more and then I will feel like I have failed.

    I have to pop up to Church Stretton sometime to visit scrappies again so i will mail you when I do and maybe we can meet for a cuppa!

    Caz is so right, its been tough to stay the course, mostly in the UK its the weather thats been so very cold and depressing for such a long time, that we're bundled up in baggy clothes! But you need to start believing that this isn't a diet, I know its easy to say that, but if you're still buying 'naughty' foods and stocking them in your kitchen then you're not really comitting yet?! Are you??

    It truly is a lifestyle change and thats what makes it so tough and why its taken slowly. Don't buy it! If you REALLY want that choc bar etc then make it worth the walk to the nearest shop to go and get it............

    Make today your new beginning and be good just for today.... then use the same tactic tomorrow - one day at a time. I'm no angel believe me, but as long as you counter balance naughty food choices with very good cardio, you can get through this.

    It seems everyone's fallen off the wagon, must be the time of the year......we all start off the new year with good intentions, so dust yourself down and start a fresh........I know I have but at present don't seem to be getting anywhere fast.

    I agree with the salads now it's getting warmer you can certainly eat alot more. Have a good week and I'll catch up with you soon.......

    It won't work properly in LBS for some reason.......recalculate it all to kilos and your height. I had exactly the same trouble with mine.
