I became vegetarian March 2009 and I love it! It was, however, my new veg diet which ultimately added a big chunk of weight to my short frame. Oops. Just because it doesn't have meat in it doesn't mean it is good for you! And, the sad thing is, I knew that, and I let myself eat that crap anyway.

*6/2/10-UPDATE* I lost about 6 pounds in Feb (down to 149) this year with Sparkpeople and then we moved to a new place and my diet got pushed aside. Well, I signed up for horseback riding lessons after not riding regularly for about 15 years and I clearly need to be in better shape!
I just weighed in at 145 so I lost 4 pounds while I was away from the site! Not too bad!

*8/17/10-UPDATE* I am 133 now and 8 pounds away from my goal of 125. I am 5 feet tall, so maybe when I get to my goal I will need to lose more but we shall see how I feel/ look. I had to buy a new bra, it was finally necessary, but I guess it's a sign that my body has gotten smaller all around. I fit into size 6 jeans at Old Navy and Walmart but haven't bought any yet. I have gotten some med size shirts and tried on a small shirt which fit but I am not ready to believe it yet, plus I still have lumps and bumps I'd rather not share in a tighter shirt. I am proud of myself and I think I've done well this summer, but know that I need to keep working and kick it up a notch to see even bigger results.

My Goals:
8/17/10- 133 pounds, 8 to go.
Time to kick it up a notch in the exercise dept, and push myself to work out more and add in actual upper body and core strength training.

My Program:
I think one of the best changes I made was switching to extra skim milk in my iced coffee (and one Sweet N Low).
I make sure I have some kind of breakfast, usually a Better Start light English muffin with natural peanut butter.
I have made friends with yogurt and added granola to it to make a great snack.
I drink mostly water and no soda at all.
I go horseback riding once a week and ride my elliptical trainer at least twice a week (should be more, I am working on that).
I do stand up for 8 hours a day at my job, and the first 2-3 hours I am moving around and lifting things so I think that helps me out in the burning calories dept a little bit, anyways.
