The time is NOW to lose the weight, to be healthy, and to love myself.

2012 is the year I turn 40, and I am at my highest weight ever! It might be my thyroid, my unable to trace inflammation, amount of toxins in my body and environment, and now the newly diagnosed asthma (which makes it really hard to workout!)... but that will not stop me. I want to be healthy, this is my time... I am on a health journey and also a spiritual journey, to better myself mentally and physically. 2012 is my year.

My goal seems very daunting,

Part 1. To be in a bikini by the age of 40..
Part 2. To get back to my college size, size 14-16...

That is my ideal size. I have decided that weight doesnt matter, I tend to lose inches before pounds, so that for me is good. Even though, 19 years ago, I was considered overweight because being 5'8 and 220 lbs, wearing a 14-16. I am trying my best to get back to that. Currently, I fluctuate between a size 20, 22, 24 in the waist. I was healthier and happier back then. My goal is to get there, and stay there. It is a daunting task, but I am ready, willing, and definately able. It takes positivity and commitment.

I've had my ups and downs, being on Sparkpeople for over 5 years. I have had successes and set-backs, but I continue on, knowing that I can do this. The most I have lost is 28 pounds, but life's stressors can derail you at any moment. When life deals you that hand, all I can do is re-evaluate, re-adjust, and get back on my horse and start riding (oh yeah, another personal goal, to ride a horse on the beach in the caribbean-- most places have a weight limit of 250).

Belly Dancing-with Veena and Neena, Rania and Suhaila.
Jillian Michaels - 30 day shred, and Circuit training for beginners.
Balance Ball workouts...
Keeping variety keeps me motivated.
