I have a goal this year to find a new healthy habit to incorporate every month. I have planned the months according to what I feel is important for my particular goals (see: A Whole Year to Look Forward To Blog). This will be my roadmap and accountability schedule.

First of all, my name is Colleen and I will reach my 60th birthday in September. I came back to Spark People because I retired and began to pack on the pounds. I have psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and have dealt with two melanoma incidents and surgeries. This is not the prize at the bottom of the box I thought I was getting.

In January, I learned to stop making so many judgements. This is a work in progress.

I have decided to explore my feelings this month. I am determined to find as many resolutions as possible.

In March, I tried on a few new kinds of exercise.

April means I have a lot to learn. I plan to find something I enjoy reading about and learn how to do it.

May was about getting in touch with "me".

June was just a relaxer.

July was supposed to be jivin'...it wasn't.

August is a time to achieve in many areas of my life, especially health.

September was the big 60 and I'm doing my best in a long time.

October was a month of ought tos. I learned to follow through on some things I had been putting off.

My Goals:
To be healthier and happier in 2014. How? Finding the right balance between food, exercise and mindset are at the forefront. Renewing my spiritual self will be an added dimension.

I will exercise 5 times per week.
I plan to incorporate clean eating, with lots of veggies and fruits.
I will be taking classes at a local church that is in line with my personal philosophies.
I will continue to meditate.
I will find a new hobby.
I will become more financially aware.

I will turn 60!


My Program:
I am eating healthy food as much as possible. Exercising is becoming a priority. Mostly I am working everyday at changing my thoughts and mindset:
