6/8/2010-I have realized I have gained 20lbs in the last three years. Not a trend I wish to continue! So its back to what I know works.. weight watchers with a little bit of food combining.

I wasn't overweight as a child, well not until I hit puberty. Then it all went pear shaped (literally). There's no mystery. I am overweight because I ate too much and wasn't active. I remember hoarding food, I would go downstairs to the kitchen while everyone was watching TV and gather candy and take it upstairs and store it in my drawer. To this day I don't know why I did it.

I went through various stages of food addiction/disorders. I would go days without eating and then binge. I once tried to purge but it didn't work (thank goodness!). I wasn't happy with the way that I looked but didn't really try seriously losing weight until the end of high school.

The summer after high school I signed up for an Outward Bound sailing course and had to start walk/running to get into shape for it. That sort of started a health kick and that summer before college I lost 30lbs.

Since then my weight has been within the same 10-20lb range up and down. I have never gotten very far away from exercising but its yet to become a natural thing for me. I'm currently 15lbs heavier than I want to be and have been for about two years now.

I'm 30 now and its not getting any easier but I'm determined.

My Goals:
My goal is to get back to where my wardrobe fits again! I am doing a century bike ride again this year but training for that doesn't start until october. I also want to understand why I eat the way I do.

My Program:
Weight watchers mostly.

Personal Information:
I live in Philadelphia now. i was in DC for five years but decided to come home to be closer to family. I love exercise, when i do it. It never seems like a good idea until I start. I also love food and eat alot from boredom. Working on it.
