It's important for me to maintain a low, healthier weight. I have chronic back/neck pain and any additional weight on my small frame doesn't help. Staying fit & active is key!

I am a Volksporter. I was awarded the 2018 Centurion Challenge for completing one hundred (100) sanctioned 10k (6.2 mi) walks. Yay ME! Fun & healthy!

In Jan.2018 I took an Intro Beginner's Yoga class. I am now a practicing yogi! I took a weekly class March-Dec. and am now continuing to do the same for 2019 as I have found that yoga is a good fit for me. I enjoy the supportive class environment & exploring deeper into yoga.

My Goals:
I committed to reach my final weight loss goal & to maintain it for the rest of my life. It may take more effort & watchfulness now due to age, health & other life factors AND that's okay!

My Program:
OLD HISTORY: I am currently back on NS (nutrisystem) to lose 10 (maybe 15) lbs. I was on NS in 2009 and easily & quickly lost 35 lbs (within 3 months). Now I am finding it not so easy with a changed metabolism & at an older age (it has been difficult; I think my scale broke!). The changed/new NS program (frozen food) is awesome though.

Other Information:
UPDATE: My 6 year quit smoking anniversary was 7-3-18. It's awesome having this monkey off my back! On November 1, 2017 I became certified by the American Lung Association (ALA) to facilitate/teach their 8 week smoking cessation course. Awesome sauce! :)

OLD HISTORY: I quit smoking (for a year & a half) & gained some weight, relapsed (for over a year & a half), and then quit again & gained some more (I am now quit forever!). My 4 year quit anniversary was 7-3-16 and I am now back to my pre-quit weight.

After I quit I found myself substituting a food addiction for the nicotine addiction. Addictions love to "bulge out" when you have one under control. I am active in on-line smoking cessation communities so feel free to ask me for info./resources on how to get out from under Nic. O. Demon's control if you are a active nicotine addict (smoker). You can do it too!
