I'm maxed out at 700 lbs and not going to take it anymore. I'm going to conquor this addiction once and for all, and be who I deserve to be.

I'm excited to be learning new habits, and making healthy choices for the first time in my life. I'm also excited to have a FREE YMCA membership and be able to go swimming at least 3x a week.

My Motivations:
- My Wife - To go to amusement parks - to sit in chairs wherever I go - to feel normal - to climb a mountain - to learn martial arts(and maybe become an UFC fighter lol), to feel happier about myself, and to not get passed by for jobs because of the way I look.

My Loss To Date:
28 pounds

450 - First Major Goal by December 2011.

Fitness Minutes: 836

My Goals:
My eating goals are to eat 1500-2000 calories, under 200 carbs, and 60 grams of fat, and eat over 80 grams of protein.

My overall goal is to learn better eating habits and if nothing else to simply replace my trouble foods with healthier alternatives (I have trouble w/ soda, fried foods, and candy bars). I've replaced them w/ flavored water, and lighter snacks like low-sugar pudding, or carbsmart icecream bars, or something similar.

My Program:
Right now, I'm focused on my diet, and getting used to that. In the next week or so I want to begin to gradually add in some exercise and weight training.

Personal Information:
I am from Dayton, OH - but have lived in Mesa, AZ, and Salt Lake City, UT.

I met my wife in Mesa, AZ.

Patrick, I was not trying to attack you. I'm sorry that you are in the situation you are in, I truly am. You said exactly what I was trying to get at, "I'm doing the best I can with what I've got available to me." That's EXACTLY right and the right attitude to have. But that all said, slipping up and letting the stress of everything defeat you is not how results happen. So, keep looking at the things you DO have - intelligence, friends (I see you have well over 1,000 FB friends!), the courage to admit your weaknesses, and the ability to get going. But, again, I wasn't trying to attack you. I just see someone who needs a kick in the butt once in a while to KEEP GOING! Today, do 1 or 2 things that get your mind and body energized. Go for a walk; just do your best and that is always enough. Drop one bad food and replace with something good. Tomorrow, walk again… or just a bit further. Try a new, healthy food. Just KEEP GOING!!

No offense Sean, but you do not know what my situation is.. It IS extremely difficult to stay focused on something when you are living in poverty, and I don't mean just mediocre poverty either - we earned $1500 last year that's less than 10% of the actual poverty line, and we do not live with family, but in our own home, and no that's not a typo- 15 hundred dollars.

It is extremely hard to live off of that, and we do not qualify for disability, or food stamps either... we get some help from family here and there, and from our church but only about $20 every week or so and we have to figure out how to use that best when we get it..

Just feel like I'm being attacked, and I also suffer depression, so I'm doing the best I can with what I've got available to me. I don't need to be attacked for my blog posts...
