    My Chiropractor/nutritionist is fine with my weighing 185 so I am starting heavy weight training to burn fat and build muscle. Also adding 30 or so more grams of protein to diet so calorie intake is up to 1400 calories.

    Thanks. When I looked CRON up it's a little different than my weight loss regime. I only eat about 1200 calories a day restricted to only green veggies, lean meat, power greens and 3 protein products. Essentially the same when I get to maintenance.

    You know, I had noticed before that you said you were on the CRON diet, but I had not looked it up to see what it was until just now. This is where I read up on it.

    Unbelievable! That's almost EXACTLY what I am doing!! And I had never heard of this diet before! The only tweeking I may be bringing to this style of diet is making my food choices count based upon the "Eat Right for Your Type" diet. Since I am a blood type A, it is mostly a vegetarian diet, with the inclusion of fatty fish. The idea is that there are foods that are beneficial for your health, others that are neutral, and then certain foods you should avoid, based upon what your blood type is. Since starting here, I have been eating only foods beneficial or neutral for me, with the exception of my coffee creamer and the occasional serving of pizza. I dropped sodas, wheat, corn, most dairy (except mozzarella cheese, yogurt, and occasionally sour cream), and have my focus on fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts. I'm sure I'm probably leaving something out, but that's the idea. I try to eat everything I can as clean and unprocessed as possible. It's really working! I have been dropping the weight, and I have so much energy. I'm sleeping better. :) I never really have cravings or get hungry. I usually don't get that many calories in a day. I do occasionally make an exception with these choices when I am making a meal for my son. I just try to limit how much of it I eat.
