It's hard to believe that I started "Sparking" almost 2 years ago. The time has flown. In that time, I had lost 42 pounds. Unfortunately, I hadn't overcome the force of emotional eating completely. My grandma became ill last fall and passed away rather unexpectedly. Then my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in January this year. I know better than to turn to food for comfort. It doesn't really help and only causes other problems, but that's where I went. Now I'm looking to get back on the wagon. I have about 10 pounds to lose again and about 10 more I'd like to shed after that.

I know I can do it. I've done it before. I'm looking forward to getting back to that healthy, high energy, less depressed life!

Tracking nutrition 6-7 days each week

Drinking 8-10 cups of water everyday

Tracking exercise everyday.

Looking for new and creative ways to keep exercise fun and not a chore. Also, ways to make sure to exercise no matter how busy family life gets.

Make a lifestyle change and quit dieting!

Prove to myself that I can set goals and achieve them.

I'm approaching my th 8th anniversary with The Pampered Chef, and I still love my "job"!

Looking forward to summer break to spend some quality time with my family before my oldest heads to middle school in the fall.

I don't have a lot of time to read, but I do enjoy a good bible study or reading personal growth material when possible.

    Hey, I'm not really sure how these message boards work, I am a brand new member. When I saw your name as pampered chef, I thought we could relate seeing as I cook for a living. My name is Heather as well. I have 2 kids. Both are girls, one is five, and the other is 17 months. Anyway, I noticed our goal weights and starting weights are quite similar. I f you have any advice, I'd totally appreciate it. thanks

    Hello Heather! Thanks for the comment on my page. I agree with you on the motivation being for me and not for my MIL. Someone else told me the same thing and then I realized....Hey...they are right. I just will tell that I have still lost 49 pounds, so there:)

    I am glad that your trip was good. We are taking 7 straight days on at the end of this month. I am so ready for that. Especially since for once, we don't have to drive to Arkansas. YEAH! They are actually coming to us. Believe me...that rarely happens.

    Hey Heather! It's me Chrissy:) I just was surfing around the Sparkpages and thought I would look for you. Found you! How are you doing? I have found a new motivation to get back on track. My mother in law is coming to visit over Thanksgiving. That is why I started losing weight in the first place and i REFUSE to let her see that I have gained some back. Funny how you get your motivation isn't it.

    Its been storming off and on ALL day long!! I know they say that you can walk in any weather conditions and that its good to take you children with you. But, I'm not to sure about walking with my 17month old in a stroller in POURING down rain. I thought about joining the YMCA, we have plenty here. I just don't really have the money to do that right now. I just don't understand how it can storm one minute and be nice and warm the next. Drives me nuts!!

    Congrats on getting 1/2 way to your goal. Hopefully I can stick with it. I don't really eat 100% healthy so I know that is hurting me. But I'm working it into the whole family diet, instead of what I use to do and just make myself healthy food.
