Hi, my name's A.J. I live in Cincinnati. I signed up for sparkpeople on 8/28/08 which was just over 2 months into my weightloss/fitness quest. My starting weight was 329, my goal is somewhere around 205, however I plan on putting on a good amount of muscle so putting a number to the weightloss isn't that easy, it's more of what I look like in the mirror that will let me know how close I am to my goal along with checking my lean body mass and body fat percentages. My weight when I started sparkpeople 2 months into losing was hovering between 298 and 301, so roughly 30 lbs in 2 months. My wife and I are on Atkins and exercising daily.

UPDATE: As of Jan 19th I am down 70+ lbs. I've been in that neighborhood for awhile but this is the first time I've updated this page since starting it.

I am eating low carb, basically the induction phase of Atkins, under 20 grams of carbs per day.

I am swimming around a 1/2hour every morning and roughly the same on the treadmill in the evening along with some weight training mixed in.

I am a huge Star Wars fan! I have a room of our appartment dedicated to my collection. I am also working on a Boba Fett costume which is a part of wanting to loose weight; to fit in it and look good!

    Hi, AJ. Thanks for joining P90X Men : ) Business has been slow to say the least and I was considering closing the Team, but your joining gives me hope others will follow. Hope you get a chance to check out the Discussion Forum and join the Team goals. And have you noticed the Huddle Wall? I find it fun to Huddle with all my teams every morning to see who's up and at 'em. Congratulations on your excellent weight loss progress.

    Hi, PADA1SCHLICHER. I notice that generally speaking, men don't participate much in co-ed P90X Sparkers, but men communicate plenty in 50+ Males. I started a team called P90X Men for men only, thinking guys doing P90X might exchange a lot more in a men's only group. I invite you to check it out, huddle with the team, and see if there are any threads there you'd like to join or if you'd like to start a thread of your own. Looking forward to seeing you there.
