Introduction Text This is my little corner of the world, where I can track my journey to a healthy lifestyle and weight . Maybe this time next year it will show a much thinner me!

I had the Lapband procedure on Mar. 18th, 2008...so far so good, but my reflux is still a major issue. That was the main reason that I had the procedure done.

I'm trying to find ways to eat well along with improving my GERD. Exercising more and that helps.

I moved around a lot as a kid since my dad was in the Navy, but spent jr. high and high school in South texas near South Padre Island. Now I'm in North Texas.

I'm a stay at home mom and have been for 9 years. I love being so involved in my kids school and I just can't believe I will have one in Junior High next year!! EGADS!!!! We are looking forward to that next chapter though...and so is he!
