I'm 30 and ready for a new life! I also want to add that I lost this weight, working 2 jobs, 7 days a week, 70 + hours a week! So, I know when time is limited.. You just have to make time!!

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Fitness Minutes: 2,225

My Goals:
I have reached my May 1st goal weight(153). I've reached my 09/03/06 goal of 120 lbs, but didn't maintain! I lost 1 pound in 2005 and 58 pounds in 2006. I am going to lose and maintain 32 more pounds by Jan 1st 2008!!







My Program:
My old exercise routine: Have changed jobs and everything has just plain changed... LOL
Morning walk- 1 hr 3 miles
**I do these here at work on my break**
24 body squats
24 forward lunges (both legs)
24 lateral lunges (both legs)
24 side bends
12:30 lunch walk/jog, 1 hr 3 miles (I walk rain or shine. I was wearing 2 lbs weights on my wrists while walking, but since I''ve started trying to jog, I''ve stopped wearing them)
**break**
50 toe touches
24 calf extensions
24 step-ups (both legs)
24 lateral arm raises (up to 3.3 lbs weights each arm)
24 alternating curls (same weights as above)
24 deep body squats w/ 6.6 weights
6 o''clock walk, 1 hour 3 miles (same as lunch)
*I do these at home*
24 crunches
24 crunches with twist
50 reverse crunches
24 leg raises (both legs/ laying on side and back)
10 minutes of stretching...
I also have a stationary bike and a cardio glide that I ride randomly... A



Personal Information:
I'm Melanie and I'm from Georgia!

A little about me... I was married for 8 years to an abusive man. We divorced in 2004 and he tired to kill me. He's currently serving a prison sentence for this. I've just recently found out he's remarried and I'm happy about this. I hope he spends the rest of his life with his new wife and leaves me the hell alone! Update, he's out of prison... and leaving me alone. I did find out that he has a 7 year old child with his new wife. Said child created during our marriage....



On 12/18/05 I decided I needed to find me. I'm in the process of making a complete lifestyle change. At this date I was weighing 191 pounds. I'm only 4'11" so that's a bad weight for me. 2005 Lost 1 Pound! 2006 Lost 58 pounds!
2007 goal to lose and maintain 32 pounds! Goal weight 100 lbs!


Other Information:
Quit Smoking at 11:30 pm 09/30/06!

As of 01/01/07 still not smoking. I gained about 18 pounds since these photos... due to a number of different things...

As of 02/04/08 I'm still not smoking. I'm averaging between 135 - 140 lbs. I'm doing my best to get back to the weight I was when I quit smoking which was 115 lbs.... I'll get there this year!!!
