I've been lifting weights for about three months now, and while the 3 pound weigh gain has been hard mentally, I feel so good about myself. I'm stronger and less jiggly. Deep down, I know that the three pound gain is musle, but it's still hard for me to be okay with it when for so long, my focus was always on the scale.

The weight training has cut down on my running a bit, but I'm still out there pushing it once or twice a week. I'm participating in a 4 mile race on June 10th, and my goal is to finish in 40 minutes or less.

I don't know if it's age, lifestyle, medical conditions, or maybe a combination of all three, but I've really lost control of my health this past year. I've gained nearly twenty pounds in a year, and I'm ready to lose it!

My Goals:
My main goal is to get back down to 130, but I know that I'd also be happy if I dropped a couple of pant sizes.

My thighs have started rubbing together when I wear skirts, so it'd be awesome to put an end to that as well.

Most importantly though, I want to be healthy. My parents and brother are both overweight, and if I don't start doing something now when I'm young, who knows if I'll ever be healthy.

My Program:
I'm counting calories, but not depriving myself. This is about a lifestyle change, and I already know that if I cut out chocolate and ice cream that I'll go crazy. So, it's all about moderation.
