It's been 8 years since I was first introduced to SP, and at least 2 since I stopped by to check in with my friends. Life has been crazy and amazing and challenging and heartbreaking and lovely and rewarding and quite frankly, everything that life should be. Looking over my pictures on my page I see an amazing life that has unfolded. Looking in the mirror, I see the phoenix rising from the ashes yet again. Looking in the rear view mirror, I recognize and acknowledge my successes along the path.

My favorite human empowerment, motivational speaker is the late Earl Nightingale. Until I stumbled upon his works, his teachings...I measured MY success by the world's yardstick and always found myself woefully lacking. His definition? "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal." Success is essentially moving toward that which you desire that will add value to your corner of the world. It doesn't matter how many times you stumble, trip, fall, lie down to rest...what matters is that your goal is ingrained in you so deeply that you get up again and again and again and keep moving forward.

I've got lots to share about the past few years of my life. Hoping to blog on a regular basis to share all of the insights I have been blessed to add to my toolbox.

1) Glorifying Father God in everything I do in and through this physical temple I have on loan from Him while I'm on this earth...

2) Getting stronger and healthier as each year passes...

3) Steering clear of old patterns and habits of compulsive eating, dieting, and exercising...

4) Encouraging and empowering others on this wellness journey one day at a time...

My Program:
All things in moderation...since I'm just 3 months post-op and my left foot controls everything. I'm starting 2012 with the January SP Jumpstart Challenge and just 2 12 minute exercise sessions each day. I'm eating a clean vegetarian diet with lots of soups and plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

My name is Anita, and I'm from Columbus, Ohio. Over the past decade, I have maintained a 100+ pound weight reduction, earned both a Master's and Bachelor's degree and managed to continue aging gracefully. I am honestly excited about what my 40's will bring into my life.

    Thank you so much for commenting on my smoothie blog and sharing a few of your tips with me. It is wonderful that you are drinking green smoothies now :) I was a vegan for years and drank green smoothies almost everyday .. always playing with new recipes and finding ones I liked best :) I do like to change my smoothie ingredients around, too. This blog was just showing the smoothies I made for a challenge I am in this week. I am glad that you reminded me to chew my smoothies!!     I'm back! Time to concentrate on the bod since it's almost 50. I only play volleyball for exersice but I need to add more. I need friends for motivation also so don't be a stranger! emoticon

    Yes, isn't it amazing how much we hold in our colons for years? Think of how much disease that causes!! I guess in Middle America not many people would do this, lol. Not many people in Guam have experienced it either, we don't have any therapists that do it. I had to go to Bali. A lot of Europeans are into doing it, especially in places like Thailand and Bali. They have retreat packages for colonics, detox, treatments, etc and much much cheaper than Spas in the US and Europe. It's easier to do it at a Spa setting of course when juices are brought to you!
