I'm Getting There!!!
My Story:
I am a yo yo person who's been on and off track now for years. 2013 is my year. I have set a goal to keep on track and stay motivated. I've done tons of different diets, none of which I could stick to. They were either too unrealistic or too expensive. After a back injury in September 09, I decided to have gastric bypass surgery. I've done tons of different diets, none of which I could stick to. They were either too unrealistic or too expensive. After a back injury in September 09, I decided to have gastric bypass surgery. After my injury and before surgery I gained over 70lbs. That put much stress on my back, knees, pretty much everything. Gastric bypass surgery has NOT been the easy way out. In fact, this is harder than any diet I've tried. I am going to keep on track with my surgeon and nutritionists plan. My surgery was on 6-7-10.
I enjoy reading, gardening, horseback riding, walking my dog, and going on vacations. Vacation don't have to be a lifestyle breaker! My mottos come from many insprirational quotes from memorable people in my life. My title comes from Joel Osteen.

My Goals:
My goal is to be to 140 by August of 2013. I'm 20-30lbs away (give or take the day) Time to get back in gear and lose this last stubborn amount of excess weight.
My Program:
I track everything that goes in my mouth. I stay positive. I try new healthy recipes. I stick with natural foods. No more "light" penut butter.. The real stuff tastes better anyhow! Moderation is the key for me. I play with my dog every day. In the spring time, I am an avid gardener. We purchased a new home in June of 08. The home has tons of landscaping and a flower garden. Gardening is a huge stress releif for me. It is my favorite fitness activity.
Personal Information:
I live in southern Indiana, just north of Louisville Kentucky. I grew up here in the midwest.
I had gastric bypas (RNY) on 6-7-10. After a back injury and some major weight gain I felt this was the best choice for me.
Other Information:
I love good scary movies. Mostly older ones. I am currently reading the Game of Thrones series.
