Preparing for the next chapter
I quit smoking on my 56th birthday two years ago after 40 years of smoking at least one pack a day. Shortly after that I had an accident and lost my job. I have gained 30 lbs since then and am not active at all. My goal is to lose 10-15 lbs and become active every day.

My Goals:
Lose a minimum of 10 lbs and develop a habit of walking/exercising every day. Getting fit and feeling good.
My Program:
I am eating only fresh foods and tracking everything to keep my carlories below the recommendation. I am also walking one mile per day and doing water aerobics 30 minutes per day (when the weather cooperates). I am learning as much as I can about fitness and nutrition.

My name is Marilyn. I live in the Gulf Coast of Mississippi between Mobile and New Orleans. I moved here from the Seattle area in 2004. I lost my husband in 2005. I have one wonderful son and a fabulous grandson who comes to visit me each summer.

That would be great. I am pretty flexible as I am unemployed right now. I do prefer days because I don't see well at night which makes driving tough.
