Hi! I'm a 43 year old with two children. My husband and I have been married 21 years. He and I have two sons ages 14 and 21. We live in the mid-west on a farm. Our oldest is attending college three hours away. I would like to be able to not wear plus sized clothes and not be winded when walking on family vacations. In addition to feeling better and looking better I need to exercise to not be depressed. My starting goal is to lose 30 pounds. I’ve done that before. Then I’ll go from there. — I will lose one pound per week so I don’t get frustrated and quit. — I will make a realistic goal of walking ten minutes each day to begin with and work up from there. — I will stay within calorie limit and drink my water each day. —And finally I will log in every day. These things are doable.

My Goals:
In order to do this I am going to:
--Log in to Sparkpeople and read goals.
-- do body boss 3 times per week
-- stop drinking pop (or at least keep it to 1 a day for now)
-- I will drink 8 glasses of water a day.
--watch my portions
--get more protein
--if I have a break at work find exercise room.




My Program:
READ MY GOALS EVERY DAY !!!!!

Exercise cardio 10 minutes every day (to start with) by walking, exercise videos, etc.

At least 2 days a week I plan to lift dumbells. At least 3 days a week I will walk or do an exercise video.

I will drink 8 glasses of water every day.

I will track my food on sparkpeople 1 time per day after I write it down on paper.

Make my goals more detailed and obtainable-- Complete with rewards such as , new exercise clothes/smaller clothes, ;), shoes, work out videos, just for fun movies, nights out on the town, massages, etc.



Personal Information:
I need to do this because I have a history of heart disease in my biological family and to stave off depression.


Other Information:
I enjoy music and art. I play the piano. I try to get in reading when I get a chance.

    Hi NEMOMOF2 or Ne,

    I want to start off telling you that I am sorry for the evasive answer I gave you on Sept. 10th in the TOPIC: New to IF on the Intermittent Fasting team. That was very rude of me and I don't like my reaction to your question.

    I hope you did find the answer you needed but just in case you didn't. My answer should have been to try to stay busy with things you love like your music (playing your piano) and your art. I know you have plenty to do on your farm but, I think this is your time to be kind to yourself and enjoy your time. Another thing I do that has helped me is to keep foods on hand that are legal on the Keto lifestyle like, olives, radishes, cheese sticks, walnuts, etc. for those times when I just have to have a small snack before my eating window. At least I know that when I do have to have something it won't knock me out of Keto. However, it is best to not snack and just stay busy doing things you love. I have also found if I get enough fat in my eating window, I don't get hungry, in fact I can go even longer from meal to meal. I am now doing OMAD (one meal a day).

    It looks like you are doing great by staying on track with your goal of losing one pound a week. I am proud of you for doing that. It is a very realistic goal.

    I would love it if you would like to join us on the Daily Chat thread and the THE NEW Lose 25 Pounds in 25 Weeks, TEAM Challenge. And if you haven't already it is a good idea to measure yourself in several places and record those measurements somewhere, because sometimes we lose inches even when we don't see any loss on the scale. That has kept me from getting discouraged several times.

    Thank you for supporting my running endeavors. It means the world to me. Right now I am thinking about creating a new goal for myself to run a half marathon in every state. Still in the thinking stage. I have to get the hubby on board!
