Aging In Reverse
I am not ashamed to say that although my goal is to achieve much more than looking great, that is probably my biggest motivation.
Since beginning this journey, I have looked the big 4-0 in the face and said "Bite me!" as I have gotten myself more fit than I've ever been in my life. Mind you, there have been times in my life when I *weighed* less, and maybe even one week or so back in 1991 when I was in a smaller pant size...but I can honestly say I've NEVER been this fit or ...

Since beginning this journey, I have looked the big 4-0 in the face and said "Bite me!" as I have gotten myself more fit than I've ever been in my life. Mind you, there have been times in my life when I *weighed* less, and maybe even one week or so back in 1991 when I was in a smaller pant size...but I can honestly say I've NEVER been this fit or healthy. At age 41, I am turning as many heads as I did in my 20s. More importantly, I am more comfortable with my body now than I was then (even though I was closer to "skinny" then).. But MOST important is that I feel great, I am med-free, and I am not starving myself or taking any other crazy measures to be "skinny".
I am now over 80% of the way there, lbs-wise. My arch-nemesis, the BMI chart, still calls me "overweight", but thanks to the body-shrinking and shaping effects of serious strength training, the size 6/7 jeans I am rocking as I type this tell a different story.

My Goals:
I have already achieved so many of the goals I started out with: I am so much healthier and energetic, I am med-free, and I am fitting into most of my "skinny" clothes. I am learning more every day how to love, accept, and be grateful for exactly who I am in this moment.
My Program:
I no longer have a "program", I just strive to constantly improve, while keeping things interesting. Just tracking food, daily exercise, and enjoying life. I am done obsessing. I want to be healthy mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Personal Information:
I live in Bear, DE (which, though it's in a different state, is basically a suburb of Philadelphia, PA). I am a boudoir/glamour photographer. I am very happily married with an 10yo son and a 3yo daughter.
I came home from the hospital after having my daughter, weighing in at 235 lbs (EGADS). I very slowly inched it down to 189 before becoming active on SP (I had been an inactive member for a long time before that). Since becoming active on SP, my life has changed a lot. I am now down to 152. I now have less than 20 lbs to go to GOAL, and I'm loving my body more every day and treating it with the respect and care it deserves.
Other Information:
Mantra: "The key to life is balance." I am constantly striving for this.
