Here is where the "weight gain" journey began: The year 2000 at 150 lbs

I gained 25lbs from 2000, but then I was focused on a workout plan and got down to 160lbs in 2006

and then...just in a blink I gained the weight back....170lbs. in Winter of 2007

My motto for fitness is: "A Journey begins with the first step". I can't recall if I heard that somewhere...but it rings so true. Through the years I've tried every diet known to man, only to get disappointed later on because I gained back the weight I had lost.

When I was an athlete, I never had that problem because I had to constantly workout. Now that I no longer play sports and not forced to be in the gym for hours every day, I felt that working out was not a top priority. BIG MISTAKE....because my lack of discipline triggered poor eating habits and lack of exercise.

The turn around point was when I saw a picture of me now and me in a bikini 10 years ago (which by the way I thought I was fat back then). BIG DIFFERENCE!!! I went from being as little as 130lbs (during my college days) to my current now (the heaviest I've been my whole life).

So moving forward, I've decided to put exercise and good nutrition back into my lifestyle. It's not going to be an easy task....but a journey begins with the first step.

And today, I've just made mine.....
