I've tried everything from low carb to Hcg and although I may have lost weight, it never lasted. The only time any weight loss has lasted for me was watching what I ate and exercising on a somewhat regular basis. I had lost 40 lbs and was able to at least maintain that loss for 2 yrs, but then after a series of stressful events I gained most of that back and began looking for an easy way out of it. All I did in the process was do more damage to my body, sending my hormones and electrolytes out of whack. The only time I really felt good was when I was eating cleaner and exercising regularly. As I get older I'm noticing more aches, pains, wrinkles and dimples. I'm tired all the time and feel I have no energy for my 5 yr old daughter. It's time for me to get myself organized again, to focus on becoming healthy and I know that this site will help me get back on track.

My Goals:
Long term, to get to about 170-180. Short term is to just take every day as it comes. The good and bad and not beat myself up over small setbacks or indulgences.

My Program:
Right now my focus is mainly on diet... from what my trainer tells me... that's 90% of your weight loss success. I make sure that I workout at the very least 3 times a week. Slow and steady... but in the end it will be worth all the hard work.

Personal Information:
I've got a 4 yr old that loves to participate when she can, and it's hard to always find a sitter when you're wanting to go to the gym and they're childcare hours aren't compatible with your schedule. I'm always looking to meet people with kids so that not only does it make it fun for them, but it gives us parents a chance to do what we need to do while teaching our little ones good lifestyle habits.

Hi there, hopefully you are having a great weekend!

    Weekend Motivational Message:

When you fight something, you’re tied to it forever. As long as you’re fighting it, you’re giving it power.-- Anthony de Mello

What are you fighting? Resistance always brings pain. Examine your struggle. What does your personality want from the situation? What does your soul want? What can you learn from this?

Always strive to mend separation and achieve unity. Always choose LOVE over fear. If you can embrace whatever you are struggling against, the struggle will disappear.

You are STRONG! This Journey you are taking is about YOU learning about your strengths. Focus on that and forgive yourself for your weaknesses.

    Health, Strength, & Happiness

emoticon the weekend is here. Hopefully you will have an extra day to play!

Here some a different set of commandments for you:

The Ten Commandments of Permanent Fat Removal

    1. Thou shalt honor and believe in thyself.

    2. Thou shalt move thy booty. Move it and move it some more.

    3. Thou shalt never go hungry again. Eat small meals and healthy snacks throughout the day.

    4. Thou shalt stock the fridge with the right stuff - the fruits and vegetables of the earth, the melba toast of men who walked before us.

    5. Thou shalt honestly write it down. If you bite it, you must write it.

    6. Thou shalt weigh and measure thyself and thy food.

    7. Thou shalt drink enough Holy Water to frighten Noah and map out all the restrooms in thy village.

    8. Thou shalt not deny thyself a treat or two now and then.

    9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's plate.

    10. Thou shalt not eat out of misery, boredom, anxiety ... but should they over-indulge, forgive thyself immediately.

    All Is Forgiven, Move On!

    Here are some parting words:

For all my good intentions, there are days when things go wrong or I fall into old habits. When things are not going well, when I'm grumpy or mad, I'll realize that I've not been paying attention to my soul and I've not been following my best routine.
    -- Robert Fulghum

Pay attention to YOURSELF this weekend!!
