Recently decided to make smart choices in my life regarding my health and lifestyle. I am not on a diet per se - but am on a quest to be the healthiest person I can be and create new life lessons and rules for myself re. food and my bizarre relationship with it!

Update.............. December 30, 2009

Well, things have not gone as I had hoped. Had the best of intentions, however our trip to Winnipeg in Sept 2008 derailed me and I fell off the wagon - hard. I am now up the 40 lbs I lost and am sick and tired of being fat. Have an appointment booked with the weight loss surgeon, but in the meantime I am going to do whatever I can to lose the weight on my own. I am beginning the Ideal Protein meal plan on January 2, 2010 and am hopeful that this plan will really be as good as everyone says! I am not afraid of hard work and dedication so am optimistic that this will be a success!! Will keep updating on my progress as time goes on!

My Goals:
To become a healthy weight that will enable me to live a life where I can buy clothes in a regular store, fit in the seat at the movie theatre, and not get out of breath from walking up a flight of stairs!

My Program:
Beginning the Ideal Protein Meal Plan on January 2, 2010.

Personal Information:
I am 38 years old, Been with the love of my life Ray for 21 years and have been married for 19 years this January. Was slim in my younger years, then a car accident put me out of commision for few years, stopped smoking 2.5 packs a day, gained over 80 lbs and am now on the life journey to create a healthier, slimmer me!

Other Information:
I have 2 children; Melinda 16, Cody 15, dog Pookie, and cat Stanley.

I am a Case Manager in a Child Welfare agency and absolutely love my job - as stressful as it is!

    Hello - Hope yo uare well and Happy with the protocol. I started mine on Monday 1/18 and so far lost 7 pounds and 15.5". I only know that because I have a trainer who last month - I lost 4" and less than 5 pounds. Not happy until back went out. The rest is history. Hope to stay in contact with people who are doing this diet. I follow to the T.
