Well, I finally got there. I cannot believe I have reached a goal that for me has been unatainable for years. It has been an up and down battle for years and I guess it took a doctor reading me the riot act that my cholesterol was way over the top for me to finally get focused and lose that excess weight. I will be honest and say I would like to lose 5 more but I guess the reality of reaching a goal that at once seemed so far away, makes me think that I am never done. But I feel great. The cholesterol is looking good and pilates is working wonders. Thank you SparkPeople!!

Time to lose the weight and keep it off!!

A few years ago I managed to lose 33 pounds on my own. I watched what I ate, I kept track on SparkPeople and I exercised religiously. Once I got engaged I kicked it into high gear, although I originally started just to get healthy (although eventually having a wedding to plan for helped.)

Once I got married and settled into our routine the diet just faded away and over the years I managed to gain each and every pound back that I had lost.

UPDATE (July 2010):

I am finally about a pound or two away from my goal. It has been a tough long road (with a few detours along the way). But I think I am finally going to do it right. . .EXERCISE AND EAT HEALTHY! My cholesterol is high and now that I am trying to do all the right things to bring that down, the weight has come off. I also started pilates and feel great!!

Without a doubt, SparkPeople has been my savior!!

My Goals:
Just a couple of pounds away from my goal. . .FINALLY!!

My Program:
I try and track EVERY day!! I try to keep it between 1100 and 1300 calories (although sometimes with salad and fruits it does go over a bit). I love wine and do still try to include it in moderation.

Unfortunately I don't exercise as often as I used to or would like. But I do walk my dog everyday and walk all over Buenos Aires which is where we moved to last year.

I have finally added Pilates 2x a week which has helped a lot.

Personal Information:
My husband and I relocated from NYC to Costa Rica in November '06 and then to Buenos Aires, Argentina in '09.
