Im a 32 year old 5'1 mom/wife of 2 boys, 9 & 11. I'm from Michigan but have lived in Southern Indiana for over 10 years. I love to cook and try New recipes, watch sports and spend time outdoors with my family camping, fishing, gardening & caring for our small farm. I'm working on being a better ME. I have set many goals, numbers, dates blah blah blah... but i never seem to get where i want to be when I want to be there. The important thing is i am making progress. I will continue to keep working hard toward my goals. If i dont get there, I'll reset & start again. I have made some wonderful SPARK friends who help keep me motivated & push me in the right direction & im thankful for them everyday ! Keep pushing forward. It will be worth it :) June 2017-Persistence really is what got me this far.. and the support from my SPARKfriends! I reached my goal of 130!! My new goal will be 125 & then I'll work on toning & maintaining. January 2018- persistence really is key. As of Jan 1, 2018.. i have put back on 15 lbs. This year I'm changing my strategy from "weight loss" to getting healthy & staying there. I am going to focus on listening to my body, eating REAL food and stress management. After all the real reason behind wanting to lose weight is to get healthy and feel better right? 😁❤ The hardest part for me is managing my stress. I struggle daily with depression and anxiety. Most of the time when I put myself on the back burner, my health pays for it. I have to find a healthy balance between taking care of my family, but also finding time to take care of myself. It's been a very rough, stressful, and emotional couple of years. Though I haven't gained ALL the weight back, I know I can do better. Consistency and making time for me are 2 of my new goals. 2019 goals: 1. Take time daily for myself to unwind 2. Drink water, limit coffee & caffeine to 2 per day and work my way down. 3. exercise PURPOSELY at least 10 mind a day 4. track food,stay within calories and keep a deficit (90% of the time) we have to allow for errors, right? 5. DON'T BE SO HARD ON MYSELF. It's ok not to be perfect- perfectly healthy, a perfect mom, wife, daughter, or have the perfect body. Some days will be worse than others. Get back up, and try again.
