My name is Ashley and I'm 25 years old. I work in the financial industry in Chicago, Illinois. I have the sweetest pugs named Apollo and Johnny who keep my fiance and I very active! I joined Sparkpeople back in 2008 and lost some weight but then got sucked back into an unhealthy college lifestyle. Now I'm back to learn healthy life habits.

My approach is to make small little changes, slowly and one-at-a-time so I don't falter. So I give myself weekly, monthly and yearly goals. Everytime I complete one I end up gaining more momentum so then I build more goals on top of one another. This has really been working for me so far.

Long-term Goals:
- Be in 130 lbs range by my birthday (August 4th)
- Move out of the overweight BMI range to the 'healthy' range (DONE! 03/24/2011)

Rewards:
- 145 lbs: hair cut (Done! 04/05/2011)
- 142 lbs: Body Oil (Done! 07/01/12)
- 140 lbs: a massage (Done! 08/01/12)
- 137 lbs: a facial (Done! 11/29/12)
- 135 lbs: a Diane Von Furstenburg wrap dress (Done! 01/15/13)
- 132 lbs: new workout clothes (hot pink anyone?)
- 130 lbs: a new bikini and bikini wax

Pant Sizes:
- Size 8 jeans: heart rate monitor (Done! 02/25/2011)
- Size 6 jeans: new jeans (Done! 01/15/12)
- Size 4 jeans: new boots (Done! 02/01/13)

On my Adventure List (got this idea from CALLIKIA):
* Yoga classes (Done! 02/19/2011)
* Learn how to massage
* Take a relaxing vacation
* White-water rafting
* Ziplining
* Complete 30 Day Shred
* Take a Zumba class
* Try P90x
* Take a sushi-making class (Done! 1/25/11)

* Scuba Diving
* Snorkeling
* Take a Hot Yoga class (Done! 02/12/11)
* Brave a nude beach

* Run my first 5K (Done! 04/23/11)
* Join a book club
* Pass my Series 7 (Done! 03/21/11)

    Hey, one of my spark friends recommended Optimum Nutrition from GNC. I have not tried it yet, but will let you know when I do! I heard that adding protein powder to milk will make you gain weight. Did you experience that when you added it to the Green Monster? I am so paranoid that I'll gain weight!! lol...

    Why worry about tomorrow
    and the rising of the sun?
    Don't anguish over past mistakes
    that can not be undone.

    Why waste life's precious moments
    on things that bruise the heart,
    when today is ours to fashion
    into a work of art?

    Today comes but once, my friend.
    It never will return,
    so use it wisely while you can.
    There is a lesson you may learn.

    Let history record the past,
    and tomorrow come what may.
    Be content to do your best
    with what you have today!

    Yup I'm actually studying for the Series 66 now! It's almost harder because it is so boring, it's even harder to get myself to sit down and study. It is nice to know someone who understands and actually knows what I am talking about! haha

    I wish I looked like I do in my comparison picture... unfortunately I've gained some of that weight back. Oh well, got to start again!
