I finally got it
I am a 53 yo grandmother who has lost over 200 lbs over the last 30 years... only to gain them back and more. I hit an all time high weight of 210.5 this spring. That along with knee surgery told me I have to make some permanent changes and get off the diet roller coaster. The key word is permanent. I have made some lifestyle changes that are working well for me. Probably the most useful change is eliminating negative judgements about myself based on what I eat or do. Also, being gentle, ...

Also, being gentle, nurturing, forgiving and loving to myself. ...So no more dieting or being hard on myself if I don't follow my plans. I eat vegatarian meals, exercise 4-5 days a week (10 to 45 min) wear a pedometer most days, read labels, weigh myself frequently and try to log every bite I eat, every step I take and every minute I exercise. The weight is falling off, I am enjoying what I eat, I'm in better shape and I look great. I will share my journey with others and welcome your comments
