Live in northeastern Montana.

One of my Spark friends had this on his status (4/28/2016) -- THENEWMICHAEL "When it comes to measuring progress, the mirror is a better instrument than the scale."
WOW!!! That is something we all need to take to heart!

We all have a whoops day. Its what you do the day after that counts... Kaliswalker

Baby steps. Leaping in wears you out. Then you quit. ~Indygirl

JOHAL52 is still in a holding pattern over life. But that's okay--sometimes holding patterns can lead to growth--it's up to me :) -- Her status for 2Aug11 -- A small comment that speaks volumes.

CATINCJ Never set your goals at some else's pace or evaluate your performance by someone else's standards. Added 2May13 from her feed that day.

My Goals:
To exercise more, get more toned, and get to a healthier weight. I would like to stave off any joint problems in legs and hips.

Another goal which I have is to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" I possess, way more than I need to have.

My Program:
Portion Control - although I haven't been real successful in doing this, I am more aware of what portions are and try to stick with them most of the time.

I use the nutrition tracker and follow no particular weight loss diet, just try to get more freggies, less carbs and fat. I have been customizing the "my favorites" list to include the foods I use the most. I have been also making use of the exercise tracker, getting at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. I try to do some strength trainig 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northeastern Montana. I work more than full time at a desk job. I spend way too much time on the computer...

Jan, 2016 -- All of this still holds true.

Other Information:
Am a cat person. Like to knit, sew, quilt, garden -- but don't seem to get much of them done.

2/24/2013 -- Several fiber craft people have been meeting during lunch hour once a week to work on projects, visit, and show off our latest projects. We also share techniques when someone has a problem with their project. Some are also starting into spinning using drop spindles.

What you have achieved up to now is not by circumstances but by your own decisions, your own thoughts and your own actions. When it feels too difficult to push forward, remind yourself that "this too shall pass". To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice your dreams and your gifts.

Thanks for your comment on my blog...Now South Korea is way too far away!! haha but you should take advantage and get a passport and go visit.. Good to hear nice things about Austin...one of the downsides is it is just too far to drive!! Will have to fly every time to go visit...but hopefully they will come back here often... emoticon

Humid today and a couple times the rain came down fast and furious and then went away. I spent some afternoon and evening time out there covered with DEET. The skeeters are fierce this year! Glad we are not in the flooding area emoticon emoticon

Put yourself at the top of your "To Do List" every single day and the rest will fall into place! emoticon

We never did get any of that Sunday rain they predicted. I got the backyard mowed and 3 big garbage cans of weeds pulled. The dogs appreciate being able to run the whole fence line to bark at the neighbor cats now! The front lawn is full of bindweed again.

Have to drive back down to Helena to the VA to get my knee injection and pick up my mom. I dropped her off after our appointments last week so she could go over to the Hamilton area to look for an apartment to be closer to my two younger sisters. She didn't find anything. I didn't think she was really serious about moving anyway.
