Like countless other people, I have struggled with being overweight for years. About a year ago, with the help of my doctor, I finally discovered why I was having trouble losing weight. After 3 months, I had lost between 38-44lbs. After some rough spots, I gained it all back. I am now where I was after I lost weight the first time. This time around, I'm going all of the way. I'm tired of regretting not being able to go to a beach for a summer vacation or being too shy to go out and party. Nothing's stopping me this time!!

I pray you all are successful in whatever you choose to conquer this year and in years to come. I have maintained the amount I've gained, but that needs to come off...& it will. My project this time around is to create a healthier and thinner me by December 23, 2011. In the meantime, I am back and better than ever. As always, blessings, peace, love, and good luck to you all. Finally, an update.......Yeaaaaaah!! I'm sorry to say that since my last update, I've managed to gain 10 pounds, but I've stayed within the 80 pound loss range. I'm still happy, upbeat, and positive. Any situation can always be worse. As of the date of this post, I'm beginning segment #2. I've reset the counter to conquer another 80 pounds.

Yesterday was my official weigh in day. My Wii never gives me an accurate weight but I am able to calculate the correct number of pounds when I lose. The Wii's numbers show 3 pounds less than the scale at the office. So I guess no two scales are alike. Yesterday, the total was -6 lbs. Small numbers sure do add up quickly. Let's goooooo, Sparkpeople!!

So what if I didn't get those last 14 pounds before the new year?! I did manage to lose a little more than 50. I am truly greatful for my progress thus far. It is now time to refuel & repeat the process all over again. This time it should, can and will be done with more concentration, commitment and dedication. If I did it, GOD knows ANYBODY can. Fitness Minutes: 10,238

My Goals:
Instead of creating a brain overload for myself, I've broken my goal into segments.

Segment #1: 60 pounds lost.

Segment #2: Currently in progress.


My Program:
Eat a healthy meal (either broiled, baked, or grilled meat, a vegetable, and a small amount of fruit) 3 times a day. If I'm feeling empty, I'd get a small snack (sunchips, a slice of cheese with about 4 crackers, or an orange, apple or plum) between meals, drink at least 80 oz of water each day, and exercise at least 30 mins. a day (except Sundays: The body needs to rest at some point). Only consumer water after 7 pm. No matter how I feel, I know that for every minute I exercise, I'm that much closer to reaching my goal. I know all of this is easier said than done, but it won't go away on it's own. The weight didn't come on overnight, so it won't go away overnight!
