Okay I think I'm done telling myself "just a little bit of this won't hurt me" or "just a small handful is okay". Well guess what? It's not okay. As I sit here, smack dab in the middle of yet another weight loss plateau, I can see that I am my own worst saboteur. Enough is enough already! I'm pulling my big-girl panties out of the drawer, pullin' 'em on and I'm ready to face this head on. Hopefully by the end of this I'll be running along having to hitch up my big-girl panties because they're too big! Bootcamp, here I come!!!!

Hi, my name is Suzanne. I am now 49! I am married to the most wonderful man you could ever imagine. We have been married for 27 years; of those 27 years he has been in the military just over 25 of them. We have 2 very handsome sons, 26 and 22. After a total knee replacement surgery just over a year ago, I realized that I was completely and totally out of shape and it was getting worse every day. My sister told me about this site; told me it was a great place to get motivation from, as well as how to live a healthier life style. I have been here now for 3 months. I'm motivated and ready to get started on a healthier, happier me. If you have any suggestions whatsoever regarding motivation, healthy eating, exercise, whatever!, please, please, PLEASE email me. Oh, I am also looking for a Spark Buddy, so if you're up for the challenge, email me!

My Goals:
Mainly I just want to feel better; feel better about how I feel and look. I'm not really a vain person; I guess if I was I would have gotten lipo a long time ago.
I would eventually like to start keeping a food journal. That is dedication that I'm not ready for just yet.
Another goal would be to use the food tracker on SP religiously. I do it for breakfast, but that's about it.
So, to sum it up, feel/look better, keep a food journal and track my food on SP.

My Program:
I exercise/workout everyday. I am watching what I eat, a little more carefully than when I first started on SP. I have cut all sodas out of my diet, which was very difficult for me since that was my only source of caffeine. I have also given up pop-tarts. I know they are very bad for me, but they are so yummy. Frosted blueberry was my favorite. I am eating more fruits and vegetables, as well as drinking/eating more dairy. Oh, and another important good habit, I no longer eat after 7:30 pm!

Personal Information:
Currently we are residing in Newport, RI! Living with the Navy folk for a while!

Other Information:
I love b&w photography. I love my profession (teacher).
I love to write and I am currently writing a couple of children's books, or trying to.
