I just had about a 9 month "battle" with fatigue and other things I don't care to get into. I am feeling better now that my thyroid medication seems to be finally working. I also quit smoking December 2008 and gave up caffeine August 2009. I feel healthier than I have in a long time.

Having a thyroid problem, at least a severe enough one, has got to be one the most challenging things I can imagine. I was lethargic and many times I didn't have the energy to get up at all. My spirit is an energetic one, so to have my body be so sluggish, was a living hell.

The medical world doens't do enough for thyroid problems. I would love to see this change! It should be taken more seriously. I felt like I was trapped in a broken body and my cries for help where unheard or only annoyed those that heard them. I find this treatment to be an outrage. It's inhumane to allow this to continue. I was certain, if I had been an animal, there would have been a group formed to save me, or put me to out of my misery. But as people we are expected to suffer and to do it quietly. That is outrageous!

If you hear these words and you personally know what I am saying, my heart goes out to you. Your struggle is a difficult one and you are more brave than the average person. At this point it's a personal journey, but you will find your way! You have to. You can do it!

When I am better I would like to get in better shape.

Now I'm working out some kidney stones. Ugh. I'm bloated and swollen.

My Program:
Set back by an illness and I stopped smoking. I feel like I'm taking one step forward and two steps back. I need to reverse that. Or at least if I can't make progress, I would like to maintain ground.

    check out Real Age Videos online, there are a couple of Leslie Sansone'e Walk Away the pounds videos online you can try. Walk without leaving your house, plus she has strengthening exercises mixed in too.

    Thanks for you response to drinking to much water. This is something that I haven't looked into yet but after reading your response and the link you sent me makes me think that I may be at risk of Hyponatremia. I wasn't aware that it could be an issue to drink to much just had a nagging feeling about it. I think I will be concentrating on how much water I actual drink and reduce it if needed.

    No one kind of exercise. I just love feeling healthy and I'm enjoying the consistency. I work out with a trainer 3 days a week and now I do a half hour of cardio after we lift weights and I show up early to warm up on a cardio machine or at the track. I am so happy and am loving the prospect of more working out. I look forward to it and enjoy the challenge and the changes I am feeling and seeing! Plus I now go on my own without seeing my trainer so I'm at 6 days a week and can't wait to reach the point where I go everyday because I would be unhappy if I didn't! emoticon
