I'm married, have one grown son and a lovely granddaughter. I love the outdoors but in this summer heat I just can't enjoy it. I truly struggle with weight loss as I enjoy eating. My downfall is sugar. My excitement for any weight loss program doesn't seem to last for long, usually a few weeks to maybe a month. And recently I had a medication change and it was an instant 7 lbs. added. This is the most I've ever weighed and it's killing me.

I need to journal my foods and see how I may have to change my diet in order to regain control of what's happening.

Part of my problem is that I see saw. I lose it and gain it when really I need it to keep going in the downward direction for a while and not up and down.

I'm looking forward to getting the support that I need to finally win this battle.

My Goals:
I need to stay focused and not be disappointed when I back slide. Continue walking or doing some form of exercise each day for at least a half hour or more. Most importantly, I need support and accountability to keep me on track. Something that I've lacked.

My Program:
I'm reducing the number of calories that I eat and implementing a regular exercise program. By tracking my meals into my food tracker, it helps me to see what I'm eating and how to adjust accordingly to reach my goals.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from New York and raised in central New Jersey. I have been living in Florida for the past 27 years and love the spring, fall and winters here. I suffocate from the heat and humidity in the summertime.

Other Information:
I love to travel! I enjoy the outdoors; walking, biking, boating, gardening (only in the cool seasons), swimming. I also enjoy sewing, quilting, reading and playing Words with Friends. Sometimes I get real creative and enjoy healthy cooking and then I get bored and find myself going out to eat a lot.
