I've been here time and time again. I ask myself why...why can't I stick with this? And you know what? I think I have had it all wrong to begin with!

The question isn't what keeps me from losing weight. The question is how did I get to this weight to begin with? Now there are a lot of factors in it. Stress, depression, anxiety, bad choices, bad habits, and bad teachings. But ultimately it boils down to intake and output.

So I'm going to focus my attention there. And it really isn't even a question of quantity, but quality too. 100 calories of veggies is a lot different than 100 calories of donuts.

So after taking inventory I have discovered the fatal flaw! I eat foods high in sugar and low in everything else! Why? You may be like me. Look in your pantry and fridge. See any veggies? Or is it mostly prepackaged foods?

If you are like me you have a couple items of veggies, maybe some fruits (because they are sweet) to pretend you are doing something healthy and the rest of your foods are processed.

Know what the process is? It's a process of removing needed nutritional stuff and adding sugar and preservatives to make the food last longer and make you and me addicted!

So here is my experiment. I am NOT a fan of veggies! BUT I need to become one. I have this thought that veggies taste so bad! But is that because I never learned how to prepare them since I had all my food prepackaged and processed for me so far? I think so!

So what I am going to do is try a new way of cooking or preparing a different veggie every day. I hope that this will help me to eat less since veggies are more filling, and also help my body work properly again since even though I eat a lot I am malnutritioned because no matter how much I eat the quality isn't there!

I'll try to keep you informed on how it goes and maybe even give you a few thoughts to help you along your path too...whatever it may be.

My Goals:
I want to honor God in all I do and that means I need to do something about this temptation to over eat and procrastinate.

So my goal is to please God.

My Program:
I do not want to live a life of gluttony so I plan to eat no more than my body would need as a healthy man.

I have also found that making a small "to do" list and emailing it to myself keeps me active and helps me reach my goals instead of putting them off.

But the biggest thing that will help me is changing my mind.
