    Working the night shift can make losing weight pretty rough since it tends to disrupt your sleep (which leads to hormonal changes that tend to make you hungrier). You might want to specifically go out of your way to research news articles on studies about how shift workers can sleep better.

    One thing I remember hearing about, for example, is that it's a good idea to get a good pair of sunglasses and make sure that you're wearing it near the end of your shift and on the way home so that the morning sunlight won't prevent your brain from producing the hormones it needs for good sleep.
