If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't. Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad.

We are all given this one life and it is up to us what we choose to do with it. There may be some things that happen to us that we do not choose, but we can choose our attitude in dealing with those things and we can choose what steps to take from there.

When I was young I liked to read those "choose your own adventure" books where you could choose where the story goes next and each person reading the book gets a slightly different story. In my life I want to choose my adventure.

In my psychology classes I recall learning about the importance of believing that you have the power to make choices to achieve a desired outcome. Somewhere since then I became discouraged and felt like no matter what adventure I chose, I would end up on the same page. I cognitively know the importance of believing I can achieve my goals, and I am fighting to keep that optimism and positive thinking alive and central. Staying positive and believing that I can reach my goals does not come natural for me. Therefore, I intend to keep these thoughts ever before my eyes and flood my spark page with positive, motivational and inspirational quotes.

Thank you for your comment on my feed. emoticon

I realize that the job market is stinking right now for everyone, it is just so dang frustrating. The only thing that she had against me was that she didn't like how far of a commute it would be for me. If it didn't bother me, why should it bother her? On the upside, she sent my info (and a good word) to an office that they have that is closer to me. I am not totally out of the running for a job, yet. lol Fingers crossed that the other office will like me too.

Hey I saw your post on the chicken and veg recipe page and had the same one! I'm pretty sure they are sweet potatoes but I was curious about the spices on the chicken. Look for the "related article" or do a search on The Thrill of the Grill. There is a chicken southwestern rub recipe there that looks like it would result in the right colouring at least... I'm going to try it tonight, I pulled chicken out of the freezer this morning.

Let me know if you find any others that you tried...I'm looking for different ways to cook the same food each week. Have a great day!
