4/10/2011...5'5" and still at 125 lbs
10/17/2010...Still in range of 125-129
4/1/2010...GOAL WEIGHT OF 129 ACHIEVED!!!!
10 1/2 months to lose almost 40 pounds

Update (4/10/2011) Wearing a size 4/6 & adding "sugar" back into my eating. I really missed a sweet treat in the evenings & vowed that I would learn to incorporate a moderate portion into my daily eating plan. It seems to be working so I don't feel like I am dieting or deprived. During my journey I also learned to be quite satisfied with much smaller portions which I am sure has helped me succeed. I do eat a HUGE spinach/apple-raisin-pear salad with lite rasberry dressing almost every night with dinner. Fills me up & tastes so good.

Update (3/20/10) After getting to within 2 pounds of my goal weight, I have plateaued for over 6 weeks, but I am not giving up!

Original Entry (6/28/2009) In May '09 it dawned on me that I would be turning 60 in 8 months. If I was going to live to be 100 I had better get myself in shape NOW! I knew what to do...cut out the sweet treats & the after-dinner snacking and start exercising regularly.

1.Maintain goal weight

My Program:
1.Be able to eat "sugar" in moderation
2.Run/jog 3x per week
(Now jogging 5-6 miles 3x a week)
3.Mentallly track my food
4.Weigh-in once every 10 days

Personal Information:
Married to my best friend for 37 years

2 grown children who make me proud every day

Have a cat, a golden retreiver and a shih tzu that are my fur-babies

Have lived in Omaha, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and for the past 11 years in a small town in Louisiana.

Other Information:
My husband and I love to travel. Traveling is not always easy. Running aiport concourses carrying our luggage is a fitness feat in and of itself!
