Thanks for the comment. Yes, it was the Rock n Roll Vegas half marathon. And yes, Bret was supposed to be there. I have no idea if he actually was since I was pooped afterward and went back to my hotel room to stretch and take a bath! It was fun! But long and hard too! Hope you had a great weekend!

    Happy Big 50 Birthday
It really isn't so bad just a number
It is how you feel about yourself
And you sure seem younger than that number
    So enjoy the day

    Hi Janet!
The mud to chocolate race was a lot of fun. Definitely low key (no timing chips) and laid back. I totally rolled both my ankles while on the trail so I've been lazy the past couple of days and haven't done any exercise. But I'm headed out for a 6 mile run today (I've only got 4 weeks until the Rock n Roll half marathon! Yikes!).
I totally know what you mean about not being able to afford the races! I got my credit card statement from last month and I had 4 races on there and that was a lot of money!! (one is for Seattle's Rock n Roll next year). I'm not planning on doing anything else after the half for awhile, but I might just have to in order to keep myself running. I think one 5k a month is great; I may up it to 10k if I get bored! yeah right!
    Hope you are doing well!!

Thanks Janet for your comment on the thread. Have you heard of the Raise the Bar team? They are based out of Covington/Kent and they are fantastic!! I did a six week swim clinic with them at Seward Park (although most of their stuff is down south which renders it not helpful for me since I'm up in Kirkland), and they are just phenomenal!). Glad to meet you! Hopefully we'll be able to meet up at some tris next summer!
