Hi my name is Sandy and I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Yo-yoing anywhere between a size 12 and 22. I have had many ups and downs with sparkpeople. I start off 2015 at 242 pounds my heaviest to date. My goal was to lose 88 pounds. I finished off 2015 at 2013 pounds. I had gotten down to 208 but the holidays hit and I gained some.

Because of health related issues (blood sugars and cholesterol) my dotor has put me on qsymia which should help me reach my goal. My goal is to eat 1200 - 1400 calories a day, exercise 6 days a week.

I still have a long way to go to reach my goal weight in 2016 and but I am sure I can do it with focus and alot of exercise.

My kids are my life and I want to make sure that I get to enjoy many years with them and potential grandchildren. So now is the time to get it together and stay motivated and focused on my goal.

My 2016 goals are to participate in a couple 5K's, drink more water, lose 50 pounds this year, set a good example for my children with eating and exercise, and stay on my spiritual journey remembering daily how to live a better life and treating others how I would like to be treated.

Hey emoticon on the weight loss, I know you have worked hard and it's nice to see some results show up on the scale.
Have been wondering how your dad is doing and you as well with the traveling to care give? What is your husbands choice of study for returning to school?
You certainly have a lot going on, hope your daughter is doing better and that you are all enjoying those moments of family time, any pokemon hikes?
Ready to move into week two - strength training not an issue, although I wouldn't intentionally strength train for more than 35 minutes I want to keep it reasonable. I am not so sure there will be any bonus points on the eating - will see how it goes.

So I intentionally made myself mow this afternoon, needed the exercise physically which gave me a good mental workout as well. Last of the kayaking on Sunday as they close for the season, so our hurrah, which I just couldn't pass up.

Have a great rest of your weekend,

We have the same weight goal. I am off today working on my 'school' project of watching and writing up the videos - so interesting but hours spent just sitting. Since I have the next few months doing more of the same, I am trying to be realistic. I think just joining the BL Fall challenge will keep me more on track than I was two years ago when I was in the same position and regained weight - so biggest goal next 10 weeks NOT to gain emoticon smaller goal hopefully to lose.

Thinking of your dad as I had one friend with dad in hospice this year and another currently for palliative care. Not sure what your dad is receiving as far as health care but I hope he is as comfortable as he can be. You surely are the middle generation still raising kids, supporting a spouse and trying to care give for a parent. Keep your sanity and keep taking care of yourself.

Just thinking about you now that the Summer Challenge is done. Should make things a little easier for you with less posting on the computer, while you are traveling to visit your dad. Hope things are going well for you and your family.
