Introduction Text I am a 41 year-old mom who has been married for 9 years and I also work outside of the home. I need some support and I also need some motivation! I am doing Spark People for a second time and I am hoping that it will help me once again reach my goals. I have been overweight most of my life and have decided that I need to make this a lifelong commitment....no more excuses!! I am doing this for me and also hoping to pass on good, healthy habits to my 7 year-old son. Forty is the new 20 and I am ready to face this challenge head on and succeed!!!

Mainly just to make the right decisions and to be a great role model for the young man in my life. I don't want him to experience what I have throughout my childhood and I want him to pass on to his children what I hope he has learned from me.

I currently belong to Planet Fitness and try to make it to the gym at least 3 times a week. I also like to run outside when it is warm or not raining.

I have struggled with weight issues most of my life. I have been an overweight teen and adult and I am trying my hardest not to pass that on to my son.
