Did you ever think "I look pretty good for a Mom of 3"......and then you see a picture of yourself and feel completely discouraged. That was were I was last August. I have always been fairly fit...sort of "skinny fat". But since having my last baby 6 years ago, my health and fitness have been hit or miss. I would have great bursts of inspiration. But they usually would fizzle out. I was either "balls to the walls" or nothing. Life got in the way...or more likely I stopped making it a priority. I would convince myself I couldn't do it or that I didn't care. I gave up trying. But that all changed last year. I started following Jillian Michaels 30 day plan for eating and exercise in her " Making the Cut" book. The more I did, the better I felt....physically and mentally. The clean eating, metabolism boosting, healthy food really made me feel great..not deprived. And the pounds started to come clothes got more loose, and my confidence soared. What a great feeling! However, I started getting a bit distracted at the beginning of this year and lost a little steam, but I am recommitted now. I am not so worried about losing weight (another 5 pounds would be great), but I mostly want to gain muscle and lose the layer of fat that is keeping my 6 pack hidden. I want to push my limits and see what I am capable of. I am excited to be on Sparkpeople to find motivation, and hopefully motivate others. I welcome new friends. Lets push each other to achieve our goals.

My Goals:
*To lose more body fat and be comfortable in my own skin.
* I want to see pictures of myself and not feel the need to criticize.
*I want to leave a dressing room without feeling discouraged.
*I want to be stronger and fitter then I ever dreamed. No regrets!

My Program:
My plan is to eat healthy and clean 6 days a week, allowing one day to have a little cheat. I plan to strength train 3 days a week and do cardio 3 or more days/week. I want to do Yoga one day a week.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. I am a die hard Steelers fan. I am a Pediatric RN, though currently not working. I am a Mom of 3 beautiful, fun kids Bella(10), Angel(9), and Sammy(6). I have 2 dogs: one Chocolate lab puppy (Teddy Bear), and one lab mix (Big Ben). I have been married for almost 14 years to my best friend James, who is a Commander in the US Navy. We move around a lot, but that's all part of the adventure.

Other Information:
I exercise because I like how I feel after. I believe we should leave this world better then it was when we got here. I believe every day is a gift.
