I have had MS since 1987 (diagnosed), it's what I have, not who I am. It presents it's own set of challenges, but hey, I'm up for it... today.

5 D's
Disarm your cravings with the 5 D's.
1. Delay at least 10 minutes before you eat so that your action is conscious, not impulsive.
2. Distract yourself by engaging in an activity that requires concentration.
3. Distance yourself from the food.
4. Determine how important it really is for you to eat the craved food and how much you really want it.
5. Decide what amount is reasonable and appropriate, eat it slowly and enjoy

My Goals:
To be healthier, more supportive, kinder, and more patient. Oh, and eventually reach 170 on the scales! Stopped smoking November 2010.
Be more productive in my home chores, organization. Finish some of the many projects I have started over the years.
Walk in a 5 K (did I really type that???) did my first 5K route March 2013.

My Program:
Walking, walking, walking, (2 or more mile 5 days a week) portion control, water, wiser food choices. Learning to like myself. I am good enough!

Including Swiss ball to balance & strength training, using the 10 min. SP on line videos 3 X week.

The wisest woman I know is my mom, even if we don't always see eye to eye. The most frustrating man I know is my DH & I love him more than life itself.

I was diagnosed with MS 26 years ago, it does not define me, it does not change who I am it is simply what I have, the cross I bear. It does limit me at times, but I refuse to allow it to break me!
