I began this journey in December 2007 and want to continue it for the rest of my life. I made it for one year and am feeling quite proud that I am still working my plan.

2008 was my year to kick butt in getting healthy. I lost nearly 28% of by body weight from where I was December 2007. I maintained a stable BP after having high BP for quite a bit. I am still hoping I can stop the med soon. I got rid of a diseased gall bladder and have never felt better in terms of stomach issues! I have more energy and vitality. My mood is better and I can keep up with life's daily demands.

So I was thinking: 2009 will be the year I become stronger!! I recently blogged about my goals and will paste them here:
Goals for my health:
Improve strength: be open to doing more strength training exercises. I want to improve significantly my ability to be strong!
Increase endurance: improve my running as well as how long I can do a variety of exercises. I will run at least one 5K: with the goal to fun the entire way.
Tone body: work on the fat by turning it to muscle. I want definition without bulk!
Improve choices daily: both exercise and food and I am adding the need to improve my drink choices. I am addicted to coffee drinks and need to decrease the consumption of the ones with lots of calories.
Sleep at least 7 to 8 hours: don't cheat myself of sleep to meet my goals. This goal also seems to be difficult for me but I will be persistent with it.

EXERCISE:
I currently attend Zumba classes from 1 to 3 times per week.
FC25K Program 3X's per week.
Strength training up to 3X's per week.
DIET:
Continue to make healthier choices and keep my portion sizes down.
Drink less caffeine and fancy coffee drinks and more water.



Personal Information:
I am at a healthier place I have been in a long time. I really like that place!
