Introduction Text 48-year-old, divorced female embarking on the hardest journey of my life, to eliminate old eating habits and making new ones, here seeking support in the process.

My first goal is to be to 222 by the first of December. If I make the goal before then, I will maintain it. I have decided, as long as this is a day-to-day struggle, to make short-term goals and change them along the way. It never does any good to look too far into the future.

My first activity is to step up the exercise, and listen to my body. When I am feeling full, stop eating. I am also going to start reading books related to healthy lifestyle. I learn best by reading and writing.

I am originally from Iowa, moved to SE Minnesota 3 years ago. I am divorced times 7 years and 2+ years into a sustaining relationship. I have 3 stepsons, one birth son, one grandson, 4 step-grandchildren, and my b/f has a son who is 10. I have many lifelong friends also. My life is full, yet I choose to live simply.
