I am a 40+ year-old mother from the midwest. I never had any real issues with my weight until I gained 80 pounds with my pregnancy. Fast forward a decade and I am still carrrying around 40 extra pounds. After seeing a video clip of myself at a recent family wedding, I was literally horrified to realize what my body looks like to others. In my mind, I didn't see all that extra weight. I was simply clueless about how big I had gotten. That video has given me the motivation to get serious about a healthier lifestyle - changes I know I can stick to! I started SP several weeks ago, and am reveling in the adventurous new foods I am eating and the lift I am getting from regular exercise. I am thrilled to be on this journey to become the best Me I can be!

Fitness Minutes: 16,339

My Goals:
First and foremost, I want to develop better eating habits and incorporate regular exercise into my life. If I happen to lose about 40 pounds in the process, even better!

My Program:
I am tracking every morsel that goes into my mouth. The accountability really helps me. I've started eating mini-meals every 2 to 3 hours to keep my hunger from running wild. I drink plentiful amounts of water daily. 30 minutes of cardio at least 4x per week.

Personal Information:
I'm a 40-something woman from the midwest, born & raised. I have one pre-teen daughter and 2 kitty-witties who are like children to me. (My Fur Gurls!) I work fulltime in an uninspiring job, but the pay is quite good - so I stay.

Other Information:
I love to read, esp. suspense/serial killer books. I love antiques and am likely on my way to a guest spot on "Hoarders"!

    Hello :o) Thanks for the supportive comments and the goodie, it's been an up and down few days emotionally, with the negativity rearing it's ugly head, but blogging through it helps immensly, and the awesome support of my spark buddies of course.

    poach away my dear!!! The breakdown I use is a good way to get back on the wagon i find without trying to rush straight back to the point i was at when i fell off. Hitting those small targets helps to spur me on, so totally if it's useful to you go for it :o)

    Thanks for the sparkgoody and you are more than welcome!! Yeah I picked up the reward system from a spark article i think :o) Mine are kinda expensive, but I harldy buy myself anything so they are definitely motivation rewards. Hope you've had a good week so far :o)
