    Hi My'Esha - Kat (below) has excellent suggestions! And she should know! She's an inspiration when it comes to weight loss and having a positive, "can do" attitude. Like she said - take small steps - things you don't even notice much. This will form a habit. When you feel like it, add another small thing. Pretty soon you have a completely new lifestyle - NOT A DIET! You have to find things that work for YOU because you're the one who will be doing them for the rest of your active, happy, healthy, beautiful, inspirational life!

    So give yourself permission to start slow and learn and experiment. The weight will follow. No worries!

    hi My'Eshea,

    glad to be your friend! the beginning of this journey is the toughest part. do not get discouraged and depressed. it does not have to be that way. it CAN be FUN!!

    start small. make 1 change, after it becomes habit, then make another. for example start with making sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day..... once that happens and your feel good about that, make sure you eat at least 5 fruits and veggies a day..... and keep it up until your old bad habits have been replaced with good ones.

    you can do the same thing with exercise. start by parking your car further away than you normally would at malls and work. you can also take a walk during your lunch break. or simply walk in space while you are watching t.v.

    starting out you do not need to do anything monumental... just something you are comfortable with. the longer you do this the easier it will get and you will be on your way to making some great lifestyle changes that will help you to reach your goals.

    if you try to do too much at once, you will get overwhelmed and fail.

    you can do this. i was 350lbs when i started at the end of dec in 2009. today i am at 194!! (13 months later).

    i know what little steps can do for you... i am here to help if you need anything. just know this... you have already taken the biggest step... you made a commitment to yourself... the rest is just making that commitment a reality.

    2011 will be YOUR YEAR!!
