Hey my name is Theresa. I was 394 at my very highest. I lost some weight because I had a colostomy tube put in because of an infected gall bladder. I am now about 364. I like the "Done being the fat girl" team because that is sooo me. I am always the girl that could be a bike... or a sofa, or any other non-sexual entity. I never have positive attention on me, usually only people making jokes about my very large size. When I was married, I didn't care. But now I realize that there were many very unhealthy things about how I was living during the time of my marriage. I have been working very hard to watch what I eat. My doctor suggestions between 45-50 fat grams a day. DOES THAT EVER PUT THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE! Everything is about math to me now. Like for instance, if I am not mistaken, there are 12 grams of fat in one serving of regular ranch dressing. I would use like 4-5 servings before my doctor told me this!!!! I may eat more food than I should right now, but at least it is more healthy! I want to do this for a lot of reasons.
1. My health... ( my doctor said this gall bladder issue was only the beginning of so many more worse things to come.)
2. My nieces... I love them and I wish I had the energy to keep up with them... Now, If I want to spend time with my nieces, its doing stuff like puzzles, reading books... watching movies... going for car rides..
3. Because I want to FEEL pretty. I always told my friends how pretty they looked, but never got any compliments back. Now that gastric bypass may have been in the process, my friends are almost feeling threatened. (Like they want me to be the fat one.)
4.Because I want to gain control on this part of my life!

I could go on and on, but when I have a really bad day and forget why I am drinking water instead of a large iced moca from McDonalds, I will remember why this is so important to me!

I am looking to make friends who are in the same boat I am. I really want to meet people my size to see if we are going through the same things, and to see how others deal with their issues. (BUT I really want to meet anyone who is looking for a friend!!)

My Goals:
Well mostly to get healthy. I would like to lose a lot of weight, but i have been battling food for years. I finally have an illness that is preventing me from eating like I used to, so I am on a special diet. I have lost some weight, and am trying to take advantage of the situation, and get some more weight gone, while I can. I would love to lose about 146 pounds by christmas day 2011. I am hoping to get gastric bypass surgery, but if I can't this goal seems very realistic. it equals to about 1.6 pounds a week.

My Program:
Right now, because of the extreme heat, I haven't been doing much, I don't want to overheat! I have had a special procedure done, and to avoid getting it infected, I try the best I can to avoid sweating. I have opted to drink water/gatorade/kool-aid versus soda. I am a soda hound hehe...
