I have always been a toned, fit person until my life changed, and with it my body did. Well, when I started this journey in 2010, I was 200 pounds... On a 5'6 body, it wasn't right.
I lost about 40 pounds, being at about 160 at my lowest in awhile. But after time went by, my once new habits turned to the dark side again, and all that weight is back. On top of that I was in and out of the hospital all of 2013 so my diet and exercise just didn't matter to me anymore.
Food has always been a battle, but with a new outlook of eating fresh, and natural, my mind, body, and soul is on it's way to finding the real me again. I have taken quite the beating on this body of mine, it's time to spoil myself with health... after all, I am one tough cookie, ya know ;-)

My Goals:
Losing 40 pounds is my goal. I was happy at 160. Felt healthier, happier, prettier.

My Program:
Jogging 2-3 times a week on treadmill, walking my beautiful dogs weekly, squats and lunges, more hiking, and this year I will participate in a walk/jog marathon. Eating fresh and natural, getting more creative with eating fresher and leaner meats, watching my calorie intake.

Personal Information:
I grew up in Reno, I was in ballet for 7 years until I hurt my knees and had to stop. I was also vegetarian for 9 years but had to stop that as well. Now currently I enjoy the California sun, and spending time fishing and being outside as much as I can with my husband and beautiful dogs.

Other Information:
Reading is brain healthy, I love to read, I love to play my guitar, sing, write music, anything that exercises my mind and makes me feel good. .

    Hi there! The kickboxing class I take is with actual gloves and "Wave Master" bag/tower. it's a 1 hour class and I LOVE IT!! It's great cardio, strength, stress reliever...you name it! I feel amazing after each workout. I bought a bag for my home I love it so much. My trainer sometimes spars with me...that's fun too! She teaches me actual boxing moves that really works the abs.

    Cross fit...well my gym was suppose to switch to this. They brought in a trainer and all, but they didn't want to follow the program schedule so instead decided to do a boot camp class. I do not like the boot camp class they my club teaches...too much like aerobics. My work offers boot camp classes that are a lot like cross fit that I do love. I love anything that is hard and challenging --I like being pushed to my limits. Makes me want to come back for more until I get it right I guess.

    I would try the class...you have nothing to lose. Least you'll know if it's for you or not. Let me know if you like it. I've tried other kickboxing classes without gloves/bag and they're fun too.
