    Thanks for stopping by my blog. I had the tomatoes a bit too long--to keep them from spoiling I cut them & moved them to the refrigerator. I do store them at room temp--but never heard stem side down. Thanks for the tip.

    The sauce was inspired by one of the local family owned restaurants in our town. They called it "house" ranchero sauce on the menu--so I guess it is their own recipe. I have a pretty discriminate palate so all while I was eating it--I was figuring out the ingredients. I found no online recipes that came close to what I thought was in it--they were all more traditional ranchero sauces.

    Weekend is coming--have a great one.

    That is awesome your garden is thriving. I was thinking about canning ranchero sauce--but it may be hard being as I did not plant tomatoes this year.

    Our summer is here--we are expecting temps over 110 for another 5-7 days. Plans to go to the beach aren't until June 29. Maybe I'll melt away a few pounds.

    My garden is good--I planted very little because we will be away most of the summer. I will be focusing more on a fall garden--our weather stays warm long enough.
