I once weighed 387lbs. In under a year, I went from 387 to 240. I did this by starving myself and acting bulimic. Friends and family loved the thinner me. This scared me, and as I pulled away from them, I gained almost all the weight back.

Now, I'm taking this journey for me. I'm taking it one day at a time and just being honest with myself and everyone else.

Fitness Minutes: 761

My Goals:
1. Goal Weight: 160 pounds (or a Size 12, whichever comes first).

2. Mini-Goal: Lose at least a pound a week (this may take a while).

3. DO NOT GIVE UP: I can stumble, have a bad hour/day/week, but I will not give up.

4. Maintain: There is no finish line in this journey.

My Program:
1. Exercise Daily: It doesn't matter what, but at the very least 10 minutes.

2. Follow the Meal Plan: That means eating every two hours. I'll set a timer and pack the food with me if I have to.

3. Weekly Posts: Pictures, weigh ins and measurements will be posted on Facebook every 7 days. The blog is the therapy portion of this weight loss. Having a healthy mind is just as important as a health body. However, I'll post the measurements and weigh ins here, but they're just a quick reference for me.

4. Honesty: I will be brutally honest with all of you and myself. This is also about choices and accountability and taking responsibility for me.

5. Acceptance: I'm sure along the way there will be mistakes. I will take them in stride. If you're willing to be an 'Emergency Volunteer,' message me on Facebook and we'll exchange numbers.

6. Be inspired: That's daily, it doesn't matter where it comes from, but inspiration is crutial.

I am Melissa (call me Meli, my husband calls me Liscae). I hail from Rahway, New Jersey. I mostly grew up in Lake Worth, Florida. I've been many places but have landed in Genesee, Idaho with a wonderful husband and an adorable step-daughter.
