Hi, my name is Dulci. I am a happily married mom of two girls who has always been concerned about being healthy. After my second child was born my weight creeped up to 163 which was very uncomfortable for me, so at the time I joined WW and was very successful. I had gotten to 138 in about 6 months, which was even more than I had expected to lose. Once I hit Lifetime with WW I started to struggle. The thrill of losing was gone and I just kind of lost my motivation. Within the next year about about 16 of those lost pounds crept back on and this time around I found it much harder to stick to the program and get them back off. Then a couple of years ago I found SparkPeople. Suddenly I was excited to try again. It took me about a year to truly take advantage of everything that Spark has to offer and I've really seen some progress since finding the BLC challenge and being part of the Forest Green Pixie team.

What is in store: Another round of BLC is about to start and I still have some weight to lose, but more importantly, I really want to make some changes. I don't want to feel like I am standing still in my own life anymore. I am going to try new things including new forms of exercise and I'm going to try to slowly learn to cook. I am going to make new friends, both within SparkPeople and in my real life.

Update: December 2012 - I have tried some new things with exercise this past year. I have tried and enjoyed Zumba, I have an exercise app on my phone called Nike Training Club, that I LOVE, and I ran my very first 5K on Dec. 2, 2012 (with my 10 year old daughter). I didn't really try to learn to cook - maybe that will come this year. I'm very fortunate to have a husband who cooks. I also decided to give Spark Coach a try, to see if it will give me the motivation and consistancy to kick off these last few pounds.

Good decision and motivation to continue to press forward with the 3 sets of dumbbell fly exercise using those 15 lb. weights. Your chest area will thank you at the end of these 12 weeks..

Flute. I was in chorus in middle school, but they don't let you sing in the high school chorus if you can't actually sing, so I had to give it up, alas.
Nice to find a kindred spirit in the jungle! Looking forward to doing BLC 25 with you.

I haven't met other women (I assume you are over 30--I am, and then some) our age who have played D&D as a kid. I played in 6th grade. I was also in the school band, so I see your geek and raise you one nerd emoticon .

During the BLC, I work hard week-by-week to lose something mainly so I won't let my entire team down. However, during the BLC Breaks, I typically let my guard down and tend to gain weight.

So, Here's an idea for each of us who want to get through this BLC break without a gain.

Do you want to pledge with me to try NOT report a gain during the next 4 Wednesday weigh ins?

How does this work? Everyone who signs up is on the list tries to maintain or lose each week.... if you report a gain one week, you get removed from the list.

Let's see how many Foxes we can get to sign-up and how many we can have still standing at the end of four weeks! (At the end, I will send each Fox who remains on the list a box of my paintings notecards! - a $10 value.)

To join this motivational competition, simply visit our FOXES chat thread and add your name to the sign-up post.

    I hope you'll join me!
