The last time that I was successful at losing weight, was when I was faithful to tracking my food an exercise. I look at these pictures and feel overwhelmed! I am not sure I can get back there. I am about 20 pounds heavier than I was in many of these pictures.

I let life get in the way of living! When I was last on here, my kids were young, I was young, my grandmother whom I took care of was still with me and I was not working full time. All these things have changed.

I am in my 40's now, one in college, one close and the little cute boy in these pictures? He's my height and in Middle School!

Last May I had it, I needed to change something, bad habits had taken over my world, and I was letting stress and lack of sleep take over my body. I joined a gym, which I LOVE, and now I am going to tackle the food monster.

So here I am at 185 wanting to get back down to 160.... we shall see if it will work!

Fitness Minutes: 26,967

My Goals:
To lose 20 pounds, goal of 165
gain muscle mass, lose fat.
#250 deadlift
and be able to do an unassisted pull up by next year

My Program:
weight based training, and group workouts that involve weights and cardio 3-5 X per week for 45 minutes

and Walking/running (HIIT) on the treadmill in my basement until the snow is gone and perhaps back to running in the spring outside.

I am an outside gal and make my living doing outdoor and environmental education for a local land trust. I love to travel, I am a camper, Hiker and I love to learn to do things myself. Sometimes I think that I was misplaced from the prairie days lol. I love to Garden, (I used to teach Ag. and construction) I love to do anything with my hands, sewing, knitting, cooking, building, what have you. And I always have room for a good book to take me on a fun adventure I am a die-hard second generation Hokie and big College football fan. Go Hokies!

    hi - i'm a fellow "hokie girl" and stumbled across your page in the hokie alum forum. 1st, congrats on meeting your 154 goal! 2nd, i see that you have mixed connective tissue disease - my mom does as well. i'm amazed that you're as active and healthy as you are with this condition! granted, my mom is a good bit older than you are, but she hardly gets out of bed and is constantly fatigued. you must have amazing drive to get out there and run! i will be doing my first 5k august 8th. knowing you were able to do it with mctd, i won't have any excuses not to do it!
